Melaka Part 2 and 3 (Last)

(Nasi Ayam, Nasi Lemak and Lontong Singapura)

Today we decided to have our brunch at one of the shopping complex around. Mana lagi kalau bukan kat Dataran Pahlawan. This time we went to the opposite of the shopping complex. I tak tau apa tah nama, tak perasan. Just to be on the safe side I order nasi ayam again because I dare not makan yang pedas-pedas, tau je la perut I sangat sensitive. Nasib baik the food at the foodcourt was edible. Husband I order nasi lemak and decided to try the lontong singapura yang tak berkuah itu. The ingredient is the same except that tak berkuah. I makan nasi ayam sikit and lontong singapura sikit.

Masa makan-makan tu I tengok kenapa ramai orang naik tangga and kat luar. After makan, we decided to check it out and guess what? The place that we eat was just across the road from the A Famosa. Wah, ini sudah bagus. I went here before but that was long time ago. Mula-mula ingat just nak ambik gambar pintu gerbang but I decided to climb the step which was high and a little bit steep. Husband I mula-mula hesitate and kata next time but I kata, naik je dah alang-alang kat sini. Sungguh menyesal I berbuat demikian sebab half way through, I rasa macam dah kehilangan nafas and not to mention betis I rasa macam nak tercabut. Nampak sangat tak pernah excercise. Bila dah nak dekat sampai I stop for a while and then ada sorang laki nie cakap, sikit lagi, sikit lagi. I kata, a’hah dah tak ada stamina. Mat salleh tua laki bini senyum-senyum kat I tengah tercungap-cungap..sabar je..

(A Famosa)

Oh yeah, the weather was so freaking hot and peluh non-stop keluar sampai basah kuyup baju I. Sesambil tu I complaint sebab lupa nak bawak topi dalam kereta yang di beli malam tadi kat night market and the other hat that I bought kat BTS (Berjaya Times Square). I took a few pics and sedapnya angin bertiup kat atas tu. Dari atas tu bukit kita orang nampak macam ada muzium istana kat bawah. Dari dulu lagi I nak ke situ each time we come here but asyik bertangguh aje. Then we all turun bawah and decided let’s just give it a try. Ticket was RM2 per person and well.. it was worth the ticket and boleh la. Masuk kat dalam tu macam-macam la kisah masa zaman kesultanan Melaka. Dan di dalam suasana begitu I pun mula la ber fantasy kat husband I. I told him, kalau I billonaire, I akan buat kisah Hang Tuah nie setaraf cerita epic barat dengan kualiti mesti superb. Cerita Hang Tuah kan banyak twist and tale, kisah cinta la, kesetiaan yang abadi kepada raja, bestfriend dia Hang Jebat turned to the sultan to balas dendam akan “kematian” Hang Tuah and macam-macam lagi la. I akan select pelakon yang betul-betul boleh berlakon dan padan memegang setiap watak and offcourse muka yang pure melayu tampan..ehem.. Yang perempuan offcourse secantik dan se classic Umi Nazeera. Sayangkan, I tak kaya ekeke… Husband I kata, suruh James Cameron direct..wah.. berseni jugak dia. I pulak prefer Martin Sorcese or Peter Jackson.

Lepas abis melawat every corner of the istana and snap gambar sikit-sikit, we decided to go to the Menara Taming Sari. But first we have to get our car that we park at the shopping complex. Tapi melencong la kejap kat shopping complex tu and sempat la memborong kudap kudapan/keropok-keropok. Lepas abis memborong we decided to park at Menara Taming Sari but bila masuk parking tengok cue punya la panjang we changed our mind and went back to the hotel. Sampai hotel terus mandi, tak tahan badan melekit-lekit, then solat and relax sekejap. Around 5pm kita orang order makanan kat hotel nie punya restaurant. Lepas makan, we decided to go to building yang merah-merah called Bangunan Stadhuys dilengkapi dengan menara jam. Ramainya orang especially tourist dari China. Suara jangan cerita, punya la kuat dorang berborak and tekejut I bila kena “sergah”, rupa-rupanya she was talking to her friend behind me and asking her to take her photo haha.. Pakaian wow… macam nak pegi clubbing, pakai tight berkilat. Separuh tu macam nak pegi dinner wakaka.. Jahat la I kan..

(Istana Kesultanan Melaka)

Lepas ber snaping sana sini, we decided to ride on the river cruise. The ticket was RM10 per person and RM4 for children. I must say, it was fun and impress with the cleanliness of the river and the view on both side. I hope they will keep it up. Habis naik river cruise we decided to have our drink at Quayside Seafood. We thought of having our dinner there but we were still full of the food that we ate at the hotel. Nyesal makan kat hotel sebab tengok orang makan kat situ dengan penuh berselera. Kita orang tengok ramainya orang order and makan otak-otak, macam best aje. So we decided to tapau and on the way back sempat lagi I snap-snap a few pics.

Sampai hotel, makan sikit otak-otak and I busy transfer gambar kat laptop. Around midnight tiba-tiba rasa macam nak muntah. Not because of the otak-otak but perut kosong sebab last makan pukul 5pm tadi and also minum macam-macam jenis air sebab haus giler and panas yang amat. Tengah malam I termuntah and I korekkan sekali. Husband I tersedar dari tidur and I told him that I need to drink hot milo. Husband I called receptionist tanya restaurant bukak lagi ke tak. Receptionist kata dah tutup. Then husband I turun nak drive kereta cari 7 eleven or kedai runcit yang masih bukak but gate to the parking area pulak dah tutup. Then dia menapak cari merata-rata. Husband I kata semua kedai dah tutup, sunyi and dia sorang-sorang bejalan kat situ. Dia kata anjing cina dalam gate sibuk menyalak and nak sergah bila dia lalu. Dia pegi kat Bangunan Stadhuys and nasib baik ada beca yang masih menunggu pelanggan and also a few tourist with a family kat situ. Husband I tanya kalau ada kedai kat persekitaran yang masih bukak and then decided to ride in one. Pengayuh beca tu dah nak balik but he was kind enough to help my husband and infact kasi discount and charge husband I RM20 aje (kalau tak discount, sejam RM40). Husband I kata, jauh orang tu bawak and cari. Merata-rata dorang pegi and bila time nak naik bukit macam nak mati orang tu kayuh. I kata offcourse la tengok la size badan you wakaka… Akhirnya berjumpa la one shop 7 eleven yang so far away.

(River Cruise)

Husband I kata dulu ayah pengayuh beca nie pun kerja jadi pengayuh beca and sekarang nie anak dia pulak take over. So kira kerja turun temurun la kan. Sampai hotel husband I bagi RM30 instead of RM20 because budak tu baik, tunggu husband I masa husband I beli, furthermore it was pass 1am in the morning, he was supposed to go home and because anak melayukan. Sampai hotel husband I buatkan milo and I makan roti gardenia fibre dua keping fuh..lega.

Tuesday 31st May, 2011

Today at 9.30am both of us checked out from the hotel and breakfast at the restaurant. Around 10.30am kita orang pun bertolak meninggalkan Bandar Melaka. Overall we had a fun time and plan to come back again but the draw back was the weather… And I even had a blister at my back, in between the spine area even though I was fully clothes and pakai baju pun berlengan. So you see it was so bloody hot, dalam kereta pun rasa macam dalam oven. Macam la penah kena panggang kan…

Like I said, we plan to come again in the future to do more exploring and more snap snap :)
