British Museum
Hari nie as planned dari KL lagi that I want to go to the British Museum. I kan kalau travelling oversea, the first agenda or itinerary that comes to mind is to go to a museum of that country. The reason was because I want to know their history, how they lead their live during those time, the things/stuff that they use or whatever la. Today around 10.50am we took a taxi to go there. Sampai-sampai je kat pekarangan museum tu I dah rasa seronok dan semangat I berkobar-kobar. Nak menjerit pun ada… tak tau la macam mana nak explain the feeling. To know is to feel. Belum masuk lagi sibuk la I bersnap sana sini, lagak seorang photographer professional, padahal yang I tau, snap gambar and adjust kat muncung je, apart from that sepatah haram I tak tau..wakakaka….. Angle ke, lighting ke, jangan tanya, I main hentam aje..janji ada gambar keluar cukup la.. Aritu kata nak belajar and read the instruction? Well, seperti biasa, kebanyakkan apa yang I berkobar nak buat jarang ada tiada tindakan susulan hah!
Admission is free and donation sangat di alu-alukan. Siap tulis lagi kat situ berapa nak kena kasi, GBP4.00 or EU5.00. I nak bagi, seperti biasa husband I kata, tak payah la.. tapi I bagi jugak tapi tah berapa tak but less than the said amount. So masuk je I dah dikejutkan dengan Egypt punya peninggalan. Eh, I pikir, I thought this was supposed to be British punya cultural/history etc.. but why sejarah or patung-patung dari negara Egypt kat sini? Rasa macam kat Egypt pun ada (macam la penah pegi situ). I jadi seram sejuk je tengok patung-patung yang besar and so impressive. I takut la… rasa macam dikelilingi antu je (again macam la penah). I imagine orang zaman lama pegang-pegang, toreh and pahat-pahat bende-bende tu. Husband I kata, malam-malam kat museum nie mesti ada hantu bejalan and macam-macam la theory dia.. Kalau pasal menakutkan diri sendiri suka tul dia.
I thought kan Egyptian punya peninggalan je yang ada kat sini but dari negara Greece pun ada. Column itu la ini la.. I tak baca sangat apa yang tulis kat tag bawah patung-patung nie, tak kuasa la sebab banyak and I bukan ingat pun, jadi boring pun ada… I expect it to be the british way of live ke apa but I think it was in another museum which banyak sangat kat sini. Sibuk la I ambik gambar merata-rata and budak-budak sekolah yang buat lawatan pun ramai. Lepas berabis begambar both of us pun blah but kita orang perasan ada bau durian. Yea bau durian… tah mana-mana datang…
(hah! maunya tak berderau jantung tengok patung nie, punya la besar and I cakap dalam hati jangan la kau tiba-tiba bangun nak hempap I)
Lepas tu both of us decided to try on another halal food kat Soho. Kita orang menapak aje dari British Museum nie sebab rasanya tak jauh. Boleh tahan jugak la bejalan and siap tanya orang kiri kanan. But one thing orang kat sini or tinggal sini was very helpful and polite to us. Susah payah lagi bagitau and even ajak jalan sama-sama nak tunjuk arah. They are still some nice people around eh? Not entirely though. Oh speaking about that, I will talk about it in the near future. So anyway, cari punya cari tak jumpa-jumpa. Siap tanya police kat situ and still jugak both of us tak jumpa. Husband I dah risau sebab tau je la area Soho nie kan is not a good place. Banyak shop yang cater to sex sex nih. I relax je sebab I believe kalau ada orang nak kacau jerit FIRE or API mesti dorang tengok..kalau setakat jerit HELP tak sapa peduli. This is some of the tip that I’ve read around.
(Patung kat sebelah nie, kononya venus tengah mandi...(venus ke? tak ingat) tapi dia perasan ada orang tengah ngendap dia so dia position kan tangan dia, kira nak cover la..then tangan sebelah dia nak ambik bekas air ke apa..tak ingat I.. Ada banyak lagi patung-patung bogel lelaki, tapi I tak snap sebab tak sanggup I tengok "anu" patung yang berbagai-bagai size, kang rasa macam isteri curang la pulak kan..)
Lepas puas bejalan cari nama street and still tak jumpa Melati’s Restaurant nie (we found it in the interent) we decided to give it up. I think dah tutup kot. Then we tahan taxi untuk balik hotel and cari kedai makan yang dekat je la. On the way nak balik hotel, both of us teringat there was one halal restaurant on the way to Oxford street which was on the same route to our hotel. Bila dah Nampak hotel tu, we asked the taxi driver to stop.
(Yang nie pulak peninggalan orang-orang Greek...I tak baca sebab sibuk ambik gambar)
Bila turun, both of us tengok kat pintu of the restaurant to be sure again that it was a halal restaurant. Masuk aje we realised that it was a Moroccan Cuisine punya food. I order je yang I ada nasi untuk mendapatkan tenaga yang banyak digunakan untuk bejalan. I tak tau Ia disebabkan lapar ke apa but the food was so delicious. I order soup as a starter, oh dear.. dah la panas and soooo… sedap…I abiskan sampai ke sudu yang terakhir. Nasi and ayam/daging panggang pun sedap …tapi I tak dapat abiskan sebab I dah makan banyak sangat roti and soup pun banyak. The restaurant was called La Menara and I recommend you all kalau datang London cari dan makan la kat sini… (Pak Moroccon tak de commission ke?. Lepas bayar bill Pak Moroccon nie kasi kuih/biscuit dorang... sedap gak...
On the way back we told ourselves that we will come again…
(Hah! yang nie pulak, maunya tak suspense. Imagine tempat simpan mayat raja-raja, queen or kerabat-kerabat nie masa zaman dulu kala...scary shit!)
(nie la soup yang lepas makan badan I rasa sedap sangat... Yela kan sebab kat luar kan sejuk macam icebox... I punya la lahap hirup sup nie sampai lidah I terbakar..nak luah tak dapat, ndak tak ndak terpaksa telan..adooiii)
(yang ada kambing and ayam I order. Wah..pelahap..husband I order ayam aje sebab dia ada ghout)
Note : Banyak lagi gambar-gambar tapi I malas nak upload... tak larat...
